Glasshouse has an inbuilt review function called Annotator, which enables annotations to be added to text on a page from the front-end of the site by users. Annotations are created in the form of comment-style pop-ups, and can be marked as different levels of urgency. They can also be added and edited from the back-end, and allocated as review issues to individual users.
In the Page management area of the page to be reviewed, click on the Review tab.
Annotator will appear as a toolbar at the top of the front-end of the web page.
Annotated text will be highlighted. Annotations labeled as minor will have a yellow highlight, and those labeled critical will have a red highlight. Hover the mouse over the highlighted text to view the annotation.
Annotations added from the front-end will appear as a list of Review issues in the back-end of that same web page.
Navigate to the Review tab to view the list of added annotations. Click on the preview listing of a review item to open it and access the options.
Annotator will remain visible from the front-end of the web-page until the Is this page under review? checkbox is deselected from the Review tab.
The Main tab inside an individual Review issue displays details of the contents of the annotation item, what text it was added to, and it’s category label. These fields can be edited after the annotation has been created.
The Allocate to dropdown menu allows review items to be allocated to individual users. The selected user will be sent an email after the review items has been saved.
Check the Closed checkbox to mark the review issue as closed.
Click on the Unlink icon in the review issue preview listing to remove the annotation.
