Content blocks are the simplest form of block which can be added to sequence page. Many features of content blocks are shared by other block types, and the steps for creating a content block can be repeated for other block types. Content blocks can be very simple, e.g with only content added, or be more advanced, with block-specific CSS styles, assessments and individual layouts.

The block will be unlinked from the page, effectively deleting it from view, but still exist in the netherworld of archived blocks. To completely delete an existing block, click on the Blocks tab in the Navigation panel. This is a repository of all the blocks existing on the site. Navigate to the block in question, and click the Delete icon next to the block listing. A dialogue box will appear saying Are you sure you want to completely delete this record? To delete it, click Yes.

The Main tab of a Content block shares many features of the Main tab in the Page management area of a page. The Block heading field, Text content editor and tab options all work in the same fashion as they do on the root level of a page. Options specific to Content blocks include:
Underneath the Heading field is a Preview this activity link. This will show a preview of the current block/activity by itself. without the rest of the parent page content.
By default the heading field of a block will be shown. If no heading is added, blocks will be called Activity 0. To hide the block heading, click on the Would you like to hide the heading? dropdown menu and select Yes.
Content images function as the main or signature image for a block. An image added here will always appear above content added in the Text content area. Adding an image with the Content image function is useful if only one image is required for the block.
The options and advanced fields contain further functionality for the block, including a Tags field to add tags to filter blocks by, a Show a separator after this activity? checkbox, and a field for adding block specific CSS styles to the block.
The Text content that goes below the block field is useful for adding footer style text to layout blocks with multiple child blocks.
