Adding blocks to pop-ups

Overview

Pop-ups can contain multiple block types, similar to a sequence page. Adding blocks to pop-ups is an effective way to make interactive activities accessible from one or more points on a page without including them directly in the page content. Blocks within pop-ups can be displayed either in plain layout or as horizontal tabs.

How to create blocks in a pop-up

Follow the steps in Adding pop-ups to create the pop-up.

In the Main tab of the pop-up:

  1. Scroll down to the Blocks section underneath the content area.
  2. Click the Select type to create dropdown menu.
  3. Select the block type you want to add.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Add, edit, unlink, and reorder blocks in the same way as on a sequence page. See Adding a basic content block for details on block handling.
  6. Once finished, click Save and close.
Options

Plain – Displays the blocks sequentially, one below another, similar to a sequence page. Best suited when adding only one block to the pop-up.
Horizontal tabs – Adds a small tab bar near the top of the pop-up window, with each block in a separate tab. The tab name is taken from the block heading. Best for multiple blocks.

To choose a display option:

  1. In the Blocks section of the Main tab, find the How would you like to display the blocks? dropdown under the block listing area.
  2. Select Plain or Horizontal tabs.
