Creating pages

Overview

Create and edit pages for your site. Choose page location and type, and edit page names, URL and navigation label. See Managing pages for further details on page layout and tabs.

How to create and edit pages

Create a page

  1. Click on Add new at the top of the Tree management section.
  2. Select a location for the page in the Choose where to create this page dropdown menu.
  3. Select a page type from the Page type options. Visit Page types for more information on each option.
  4. Click Create.

Edit an existing page

Select the page from the Site tree in the Tree management section. The content for the selected page will open in the Page management area.

Create and edit page names

Start in the Page management area, in the Main tab.

  1. Add a page name into the Page name field. This will be the default navigation label for the page in the CMS, as well as the URL.
  2. The URL can be manually changed if needed. Click on Edit next to URL segment to edit the default URL. This will not affect the page name or navigation label.
  3. The Navigation label can also be changed manually. Add a new name in the Navigation label field. This will not affect the page name or URL.

Publish a page

Click Save and Publish in the Publishing bar to publish your page.

This will make the page active and available on the web, so ensure the page and content is fully ready for publication first.
