Export SCORM

Overview

SCORM is a portable format which enables resource to be exported from authoring systems and uploaded into learning management systems. Glasshouse supports SCORM 1.2. When exported from a page, SCORM files are collected into a zip file and a download link is sent to a chosen email address. The zip file will be available to download on the server for 24 hours before the link will expire.

How to export SCORM

Start in the Page Management are of the page you wish to export as a SCORM object.

  1. Navigate to the Export tab.
  2. Click the Export this module button.

The text below will appear informing the outcome of the export request.

The export of (url of page exported) is now queued
A email will be sent to (admin email for your site) with the download link in about 10-30mins

Once the email has been received, click the link to download the SCORM zip file. This zip file can then be uploaded to your LMS.

Options

By default, all pages beneath or linked to the page you are exporting will be included in the SCORM export.

Change the name of the SCORM object

Click on the Export Configuration tab (to the right of the Export tab). Add a custom name into the SCORM identifier field and click Save and Publish. This will override the default name. If this is blank the identifier will be automatically generated.

SCORM options for blocks

Individual blocks can be removed from the SCORM export if needed. Within the Main tab of the block in question, click on the SCORM reporting options menu and select the Do not show in SCORM report checkbox. An description for the individual block can also be added into the SCORM description field. This must be 256 characters or less and contain no punctuation.
