Text to Speech

Overview

Text-to-speech (TTS) is a technology that converts written text into spoken words. It takes input text and uses natural language processing algorithms to analyse and synthesise the speech, producing an audio output that sounds like a human voice. TTS is often used to provide auditory feedback or accessibility for individuals who are visually impaired or have difficulty reading.

How to convert text into a voiceover

Begin by creating a page and adding the necessary blocks. If you’d like to refresh on that please see: Creating Pages

  1. Select the designated block where you would like to add the voiceover.
  2. Hover over the menu in the top right corner of the screen and select Media.
  3. In the Where would you like to place the media section, choose either Above content or Below content.
  4. Click on the dropdown menu for Text to Speech.
  5. Select a voice from the dropdown in the Which voice would you like to use? section.
  6. Choose the speed of the narration by selecting Slow, Normal, or Fast from the dropdown menu in the Select a speaking rate for the narrator section.
  7. Type the script or text you would like to convert into speech in the text box.
  8. Click Save and Publish.
  9. The Media to display will automatically be selected as soon as the speech is created.
